Beyond the Ledgers was founded by Ira Baxter with a clear mission: to help New Zealand accounting firms grow sustainably by connecting them with world-class Filipino accounting talent.
What started as a vision to bridge two worlds — New Zealand firms in need of reliable support, and talented Filipino professionals seeking meaningful careers — has grown into a trusted partner for firms ready to scale with confidence.
The Inspiration
Ira recognized a gap in the market: accounting firms in New Zealand were struggling to expand because of rising costs and the difficulty of finding qualified talent locally. At the same time, the Philippines had an exceptional pool of accountants and bookkeepers trained in international standards, eager for opportunities to showcase their skills on a global stage.
This sparked the idea for Beyond the Ledgers — not just as an outsourcing service, but as a people-first platform where Filipino professionals could build long-term careers and firms could grow without burning out their teams or breaking their budgets.
